What We Do
Lectors are called to proclaim the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Through prayerful preparation and reverent proclamation of Sacred Scripture, lectors help the faithful hear, understand, and respond to the living Word of the Lord.
This ministry is more than simply reading; it is an act of evangelization. Through their voice and witness, lectors help bring God’s Word to life and invite the community to encounter Christ in the Scriptures.
Would you like to become a Lector?
Our Lectors are parishioners who have responded to God’s call to serve at the ambo by proclaiming His Word during the sacred liturgy. Through prayerful spiritual preparation and practical formation, they proclaim Scripture with clarity, reverence, and faith, helping the faithful encounter Christ in the Liturgy of the Word.
No prior experience is required—only a love for Sacred Scripture, a willingness to learn, and a desire to serve God and our parish community.
